蜜汁烧排骨 (Mi Zhi Shao Pai Gu - Honey Glazed Pork Ribs)

Ingredients

  • 排骨 (Pai Gu) - Pork ribs, 500g
  • 叉烧酱 (Cha Shao Jiang) - Char siu sauce, 3 tablespoons
  • 生抽 (Sheng Chou) - Light soy sauce, 1 tablespoons

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs

  • Rinse the pork ribs thoroughly under cold water to remove any impurities. Drain well and place them in a large bowl.

Marinate the Ribs

  • Add the char siu sauce to the ribs. Mix well to ensure each piece is evenly coated.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. If time is short, marinate for at least 4 hours.

Cook the Ribs

  • After marinating, arrange the ribs neatly in the rice cooker.
  • Close the lid and press the cooking button. Let the ribs cook for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, add the light soy sauce and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the ribs are glazed.

Serve

  • Transfer the ribs to a serving plate. They are now ready to be enjoyed!

Tips

  • The longer the ribs marinate, the more flavorful they will be. Overnight marination is recommended.
  • Be careful not to overcook the ribs; they should be tender and the sauce should be just thick enough to coat the ribs.
