Ingredients
- 排骨 (Pai Gu) - Pork ribs, 500g
- 叉烧酱 (Cha Shao Jiang) - Char siu sauce, 3 tablespoons
- 生抽 (Sheng Chou) - Light soy sauce, 1 tablespoons
Instructions
Prepare the Ribs
- Rinse the pork ribs thoroughly under cold water to remove any impurities. Drain well and place them in a large bowl.
Marinate the Ribs
- Add the char siu sauce to the ribs. Mix well to ensure each piece is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. If time is short, marinate for at least 4 hours.
Cook the Ribs
- After marinating, arrange the ribs neatly in the rice cooker.
- Close the lid and press the cooking button. Let the ribs cook for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, add the light soy sauce and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the ribs are glazed.
Serve
- Transfer the ribs to a serving plate. They are now ready to be enjoyed!
Tips
- The longer the ribs marinate, the more flavorful they will be. Overnight marination is recommended.
- Be careful not to overcook the ribs; they should be tender and the sauce should be just thick enough to coat the ribs.
